Takeout7 FPOS Direct Integration Guide

Once a Site is Onboarded in the Takeout7 System Follow the Steps Below to Install and Configure the POSconnect Client

System Requirements:

Windows and FPOS 5.96.32 or Greater. Install needs to be on store SERVER with Administrator rights during install.

  1. INSTALL INFO: Takeout7 has provided you with settings for your restaurant to complete installation. 
  2. DOWNLOAD POSconnect Version 2.7.1.3

  3. INSTALL POSconnect
    1. Double-click to launch the  POSconnect via the icon on desktop
    2. Enter the correct User Name and Password provided by Takeout7 ** Specific to Restaurant**

    3. There will be a slight pause upon first login

    4. Click on POSConnection Icon

     

  4. Enter in the Future POS Server name exactly as it is in DB Setup

    a . FPOS SERVER NAME Example: JON-OFFICE\FPOSSQL

    b. Enter the FPOS Database Name exactly as it is in DB Setup   Example DEMO

    **DB USER Password needs to be the SA user and password**

    Example: sa and cessql_2018


    c. Click Test connection. This should result in a successful connection to the database if credentials are accurate. Then click Update and Next to continue.

     

  5. CONFIRM CONNECTIVITY: Click on Cloud Connection Icon to make sure POSConnect can contact the TO7 Cloud

  6. CONFIGURE SETTINGS

    1. Click on Settings Icon

    2. Enter Information Provided by Takeout7 

      Note; Some installs will pre-populate with restaurant domain and restaurant POS Key
    3. Restaurant Domain: Will populate automatically from the cloud.
    4. Store ID = This is the Future POS Store ID Found if you pull up help and about. This ID is unique to that Future POS license and only used for this location.

    5. Employee ID = Enter the employee that was created in Future POS Backoffice to be used for reporting and tracking of online sales.  Example: Takeout7 User ID 7777

    6. Terminal ID = This is the terminal which will be sending orders to the kitchen. This is again a way of tracking sales and reporting. Typically this is 99.

    7. Table Number Enter 777 or a number higher than any existing table in section table maintenance.

    8. Media = Enter the Media number that was created in FPOS Backoffice which will be used to report all online credit card sales.

       

      Example: Media 15 "PD Online CC"

    9. Number of Receipts = This is the number of paid receipts printed when a paid online order is received at store level to the printer designated in Printer Settings/ Receipt Printer. 

      Note: Default is 1 
    10. Click Update to Save and then Click Next to proceed

  7. MENU SELECTION
    1. Click Update Full Menu Icon
    2. Enter POS Key from Restaurant POS Key from the Restaurant Setup Sheet Provided. Same key as used in Step 6 Restaurant POS Key


    3. Select All Departments that you want to upload the online ordering site and click Submit

       

      Note: Best practice is to NOT select Menu Names Which are FPOS Departments that will not be used online ordering. IE Liquor, Retail, Bar, BeerPlease

    4. Please wait till you receive the Upload Full Menu Form which shows the successful upload of your Menu Items along with counts. Then Click OK .



  8. PRINTER SETTINGS

    1. Click printers Setting Icon

    2. Receipt Printer
      Select where the Closed online Paid Orders will Print. This is where Paid online orders print at store level. 

      From Terminal = 99  (Designated Terminal in Step 6)
      To Terminal = (Terminal where you wish to print Receipts) Example: Terminal 2/Bar 
      To Printer Number = 0 (This is the default Receipt Printer in Future POS System Devices for the To Terminal
    3. Whole Order Printer (Optional)

      This is where complete orders will print regardless of Item Printer settings.

      Items that do not normally print to a kitchen printer will print here similar to an Expo Printer.

    4. Skip Printers (Optional)

       

      This setting is allows Takeout7 orders to skip printing to a specific printer or printers.

      Example : Items that are set to print to 2 or more prep lines inside of FPOS Backoffice and you wish to skip printing to a prep line printer select which printer you wish to skip.
